All-American Cheeseburger Penne

1 lb. Pappardelle's Salted Butter Penne
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. each: paprika, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder
2 tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. mustard powder
4 cups vegetable broth
8 oz. tomato sauce *
½ cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Salt & pepper, to taste

* Or use Pappardelle's (11 oz.) Roasted Tomato Marinara Sauce


  1. Heat a large saucepot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 4-6 minutes. Add all seasonings, onion and garlic and cook until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Stir in broth, pasta, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and tender, about 10-12 minutes. 
  3. Once the pasta is at the desired consistency, stir in the cheddar cheese and heavy cream. Season with salt & pepper and crushed red pepper flakes.
  4. Divide the pasta into serving dishes. Serve and enjoy!
