Farro is an ancient grain organically grown in the U.S.A. It is one of the earliest domesticated grains and has remained unchanged for 10,000 years. Farro has a robust nutty flavor. It high in dietary fiber and rich in niacin, magnesium and zinc. Farro also has a higher protein value and B-complex vitamins than traditional wheat.

To prepare, bring 4 quarts (3.8 liters) of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta to water, return water to a gentle boil and cook for 10-12 minutes or until al dente, stirring intermittently. Drain and serve immediately.
